Martha Escondeur
Personal Profile
Born in 1957 in the rural town of Santa Lucia, Canelones, Uruguay.
Self-taught, gifted in the Arts of drawing, painting, sculpting, and stone carving, she has been exhibiting her works since the early seventies.
Since this period, she has received many known awards from critics, colleagues, and clients around the world.
Known for her great ability working with human figures, she was summoned by an Italian School of Arts in Florence, where she demonstrated natural skills in working with clay, marble, alabaster, and bronze.
She has been assigned official works in public areas as well as many in private collections, with over two thousand pieces created and sold.
Martha is the author of many family portraits ordered directly at private sessions or by photographs.
